    FlightSimExpo 2019 Date And Location Announced

    After a sold-out 2018 event with over 1100 attendees in Las Vegas, FlightSimExpo is bringing North America's community-driven flight simulation conference to Orlando in June 2019. FlightSimExpo is North America's community-driven flight simulation conference. It was formed by the flight simulation community and members from Boston Virtual ARTCC with years of experience in flight simulation, aviation, and event planning.

    Review: Just Flight - TB10 and TB20 XP for X-Plane 11

    Just Flight, in partnership with Thranda Design, have produced the TB-10 Tobago & TB-20 Trinidad for X-Plane 11. The Socata TB-10 Tobago and TB-20 Trinidad are French GA aircraft with spacious and comfortable cabins. For X-Plane 11, they feature PBR materials with real-time environment reflections, 4096 x 4096 textures and more. Reviewer Nigel Porter found they plane had some flaws but he enjoyed flying it.

    Alaskan Mesh Project: SAK - v1.1 Now Available

    The Alaska Mesh Project: SAK from Emerald Scenery Design covers a large chunk of Alaska with improved terrain mesh. It has just been updated to version 1.1 with an expanded coverage area, filling in missing areas in the 10m base mesh.

    Just Flight Hawk T1/A XP Sneak Peak

    Coming soon from Just Flight is the Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer for X-Plane. They have just released a short in-dev video showing some of the highlights of the exterior. The Hawk T1 features an exquisitely modelled exterior, with intricate details such as the landing gear which is animated to precisely match the real aircraft’s complex linkages and mechanisms.

    X-Plane 11.25 Released

    Laminar Research has announced the release of X-Plane 11.25. This is a fairly minor update. Described as an "art update" it includes updated global airports, landmark updates and new facades and lines.

    Review: Taburet - Mesh XP East USA 2 for X-Plane

    MeshXP USA East 2 for X-Plane from Taburet is compiled using 30 m resolution elevation models. It uses highly detailed hydrological data to rebuild completely the hydrological scenery to very high detail. It can be used on its own or underneath photorealistic scenery. Paul Mort tried it and found it highly impressive either with or without photographic scenery.

    Review: Global Art - Toronto Pearson Airport

    Toronto Pearson International Airport (CYYZ) is the largest and busiest airport in Canada, and is now well represented in X-Plane thanks to the scenery package from Global Art. Reviewer Patrick Putland found it to be a nice recreation of the airport, with perfect night lighting, accurate textures, realistic buildings and neat details like the terminal link train that moves on rails.

    The Mountain Maestro Returns: Monument Valley for XP11

    Orbx announces that the "Mountain Maestro", Frank Dainese, who produced the much-acclaimed Monument Valley, Devils Tower and Yosemite National Park sceneries, is back. Working with partner Fabio Bellini, they are working on a completely re-done Monument Valley scenery for X-Plane 11. This area features iconic landmarks of the American west and will include new tech and new features.

    Aerobask - Robin DR401 CDI 155 Freeware For X-Plane

    Aerobask has released a freeware Robin DR401 aircraft as a thank you to the X-Plane community. It features a G1000 glass cockpit and FMOD sounds. It's also fully compatible with VR. The Robin DR401 CDI 155 is a wooden sport monoplane, conceived by Robin Aircraft.
