• Do You Have What It Takes To Be A Combat Pilot?

Saitek Combat Pilot is now imminent. The new multiplayer combat simulation from Mad Catz is in the final stages of closed beta. Pre-orders will begin Monday, October 22, 2012, with the Saitek Combat Pilot universe going live 8 days later.

Combat Pilot is the ultimate, multiplayer combat flying experience built within the Microsoft FSX universe (sold separately). From selecting your choice of careers and countries, you will follow a rigorous and realistic training program, taking you through earning your wings, weapons training, rank advancements, multiple career development options and achievements, global base assignments and ultimately, full multi-player combat operations. Fly with, and even command fighter squadrons that engage in air-to-ground and air-to-air combat.

The initial squadron list has been revealed, and an impressive array of aircraft from developers including: Aerosoft, Just Flight, Flight1, A2A, Area 51, Jim Dhaenens, Razbam and Iris are being finalized for deployment.

The multi-player engine offers not only detailed rendering of all the aircraft, bases and weapons within the universe, but also a comprehensive voice-comms system, utilizing ‘Team-Speak’ for combat operations, pilot lounge interactions and ready room briefings.

Saitek Combat Pilot was developed by Mad Catz internal ThunderHawk studios utilizing the skills of highly respected military navigator and avionics experts to ensure realism and attention to detail.

Really! $50 for the first 30 days, and who knows what the price is going to be after! A great buy for anyone who has so much money they don't know what to do with it all.

What an amazing, brilliant, fantastic idea - it looks like the INITIAL cost is $50 which includes 30 days online - it will be interesting to see what the monthly subscription is.

Thats $50 to start, then $11 a month plus 10 for each add on aircraft. An expensive proposistion to be sure. Most online combat is free with the purchase of the software, or the software is free and a monthly subscription but not both.
