Once again this year, Michael Hayward was our reporter on the scene at Flight Sim Show 2019, held last weekend at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford. This year the show was expanded to two full days and had great attendance including 35 companies with stands and many presentations.

The Simsbury Fly-In in Connecticut brings 10,000 people, 100+ planes, 700+ classic cars to a tiny country airport every year. It's s fun time with lots to look at, other pilots to chat with and some totally unhealthy food to enjoy. Flying in with the crowded skies was an experience, but flying home proved to be more of an adventure than either of us really wanted...

After trying, over the years, all the flight simulators from FS2000 to Prepar3D, Robin Meyerowitz found that immersion is more important than realism and that FS2004 suited that need for him. To aid that, he discovered the Ford Tri-Motor Project put together by Garry J. Smith and Edward C. Moore. As he describes, the project is even more than just the history of the famous Tri-Motor but provides a variety of period resources to aid in that flightsim immersion.

In October this year, the Flight Sim Show returned to the UK, and was bigger and better than ever before. With over 1800 attendees and nearly 40 exhibitors attending, it was the largest UK show ever. In much the same way as last year's show, Michael Hayward was luckily enough to be able to interview some of the largest developers on the simulator scene, with many questions poised by you, the flightsim community.

Our man on the scene Tony Vallillo reports on his first day at FlightSimExpo being held this weekend in Las Vegas. With the expo not yet having begun, he spends Friday checking out the other aviation possibilities and visits a place where you can use a real Level D simulator.

The flight simulator show Flight Sim 2017 returned to the RAF Museum Cosford UK for the fifth consecutive year. Hosted by Just Flight and PC Pilot, this was the largest one yet with 1800 attendees and over 35 exhibitors. Michael Hayward was there and offers his report.

The Collings Foundation is one of the premier restorers and operators of historic aircraft, and through their "Wings Of Freedom Tour" bring a variety of WWII era aircraft all around the U.S. for people to experience. Earlier this week, Nels Anderson had the opportunity to visit one of their stops and fly in their B-25 Mitchell "Tondelayo", and shares his experience here in words and photos.

Yesterday, Dovetail Games (DTG) released the latest addition to the world of flight simulators for 2017 with Flight Sim World becoming available on Steam as an Early Access release.
