    Remastered Wright Brothers Photos And FlightSim Historical Flight

    Flightsim fan Laurie Doering presents a video documentary on the Wright brothers first flights in 1903 at Kitty Hawk. He's taken original photographs from 1900-1905 and remastered them to tell the story of the development of the airplane. As a conclusion to the story, he uses MSFS 2020 for a scenic flight around Kitty Hawk as it looks today.

    Review: Aerosoft - SAM Follow Me XP

    The "Scenery Animation Manager" series brings added levels of realism to airports. In this review Joshua Moore tries SAM Follow Me for X-Plane, which provides a follow me vehicle for taxiing guidance and a marshaller to help with parking. At a big airport this can be a nice touch and given that it works anywhere it does a reasonably accurate job of it.

    FlyingIron Simulations has posted a lengthy status report on their current projects for both MSFS 2020 and DCS. For MSFS, they have announced the F6F Hellcat, an important US Navy fighter of WWII. For DCS World, they are working on the A-7E Corsair II.

    New from Taburet is UK Trees For MSFS 2020. The function of this mod is to replace trees all over the UK. All default trees are removed and repositioned using Ordnance Survey forest data. It is needless to say that we now have a far more balanced environment, with trees actually matching the photorealistic textures.

    Aeroplane Heaven announces that they have released an update for their Cessna C140 for MSFS 2020. This update fixes an issue of catastrophic frame rate loss when operating over snow. It also removes a squeak in the trim wheel.

    P3D v5.3 Has A New Hotfix

    Lockheed Martin announces a new hotfix for Prepar3D v5.3. Hotfix 2 contains additional resolutions for high priority issues identified after the Prepar3D v5.3 release. Only the Client installer is required for the majority of fixes.
