    Work In Progress: Aerosoft CRJ for MSFS

    The Aerosoft CRJ for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator is still in development, but the work in progress screenshots are already impressive with many details. We also now have two videos to show off the plane. This is an entirely new plane, not a port, using all new modelling, new flight models, etc.

    iniBuilds Announces iniScene Line Of Scenery For MSFS

    Previously known for their aircraft, iniBuilds now announces their new iniScene line of scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Their first release will be Shoreham General Aviation Airport (EGKA) in the UK, and a few screen shots are provided to show the progress.

    Microsoft Flight Simulator September 24th Development Update

    The big news in this week's Microsoft Flight Simulator development update is the "World Update I: Japan", though they already announced this yesterday. They do add that their goal is to provide a meaningful update to the sim every month, and this addition is pretty significant. Further details are also provided and the SDK, feedback snapshot, development roadmap, etc.

    Indiafoxtecho Now Official DCS Developer

    Dino Cattaneo of Indiafoxtecho announces an organization change where he will be working with several additional designers. This will allow a move into creating aircraft for DCS, with the MB-339 being the first project. It will also increase productivity on other flight simulator platforms that the group supports.

    NMG Steps Back From MSFS 2020 Scenery Development

    NMG Simulations has mastered scenery creation for FSX, Prepar3D and X-Plane and had planned to move into MSFS 2020 development as well. However, they have announced that they are drawing back from these plans, due to the current unsettled state of the sim itself and also because Microsoft has not provided the tools and information via the SDK that they need to successfully create scenery.

    Just Flight Traffic Global FSX/P3D Ready Soon

    Just Flight continues to work on Traffic Global for FSX and Prepar3D and expects it done with early access and out as a full release very soon. When that happens they will be supplying a bonus set of general aviation aircraft liveries for users; today's announcement shows a selection of them.

    VSKYLABS XF-85 Project Announced

    VSKYLABS likes to take on unusual aircraft projects, and the XF-85 is certainly that. Designed in the 1940's as a "parasite fighter", the little jet would be carried by a bomber and take-off and return to bomber, without ever landing on the ground. Though the concept proved unworkable in the real world it should make for an interesting challenge for X-Plane pilots.

    MSFS 2020 - Japan World Update Announced

    As good as some of the default scenery can be in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, hand enhanced scenery will always be better. Today Microsoft has announced that Japan will be the next area of the world to receive such enhancement, and has released a video trailer showing how it will look.

    Magknight 787: Aviator's Edition v1.6.0

    X-Plane aircraft developer Magknight announces the release of v1.6.0 of their 787 Aviator's Edition. It features the long awaited "new cockpit", second-generation EFB including a new weight and balance page, and the landing calculator. It also includes over 25 bug fixes and small features.
