    Review: Simworks Studios - Okavango Delta For MSFS

    Outstanding scenery is one of the highlights of Microsoft Flight Simulator, and scenery designers like Simworks Studios can really bring out the best the sim has to offer. This is surely true of their Okavango Delta scenery that lets you explore a beautiful part of Africa including its terrain and wildlife.   • MSFS 2020 June 17th, 2021 Development Update

    Although the big news has already been announced, the Microsoft Flight Simulator team keeps up their tradition of weekly development updates. Included are announcements that the Xbox Series X|S version of MSFS 2020 will be released on July 27, a reminder about the Top Gun: Maverick update coming this fall and the regular features on the SDK, etc.

    Captain Sim Releases 777-300 For MSFS 2020

    Jetliners are one of the most demanded add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, so the release by Captain Sim of their 777-300is sure to grab the attention of many. According to Captain Sim, it features a highly detailed model of the 777-300ER using 4K textures and including hundreds of realistic animations. The cockpit however apparently re-uses systems from the default 747.

    MSFS 2020 World Update V: Nordics Now Available

    The Microsoft Flight Simulator has released World Update V: Nordics, with enhancements to Europe's five Nordic countries. Included is updated aerial imagery and terrain data, a long list of points of interest, improvements at 99 airports, etc. Five new bush trips are also included, one for each country, as well as five landing challenges.

    Emerald Scenery Design has announced the first dev release of the scenery of Fantasy of Flight FA08. Located in Polk City, Florida, this airport hosts the Kermit Weeks collection of vintage aircraft. This scenery is based on the original FSX scenery by Vassilis Dimoulas.

    FSimStudios Presents First Views Of Halifax For MSFS

    Halifax Stanfield International Airport CYHZ from FSimStudios, in partnership with Airfield Canada, is getting closer to release. The first few in-sim screen shots are here. The MSFS version will be released first, before the end of June. The P3D version is scheduled for July.

    Just Flight Releases Patches For Arrows For MSFS

    Just Flight has released patches for both the PA-28R Arrow III and the Turbo Arrow III/IV for MSFS 2020. A variety of fixes and improvements are included, such as improved cockpit lighting, EFB brightness controls and battery power, and portable oxygen system for high altitude flights (Turbo Arrow III/IV only).

    PMDG Announces Release Date For MSFS DC-6

    PMDG has announced that their first aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator is almost ready for release. The PMDG Douglas DC-6 for MSFS 2020 is now scheduled for release this Friday and is only the first of a number of MSFS products that PMDG has planned. As usual, this will be a "study level" aircraft, designed for serious flightsimmers.
