donn18 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I created an object using Sketchup, then ModelConvertor, and LibraryCreator. I have FSX-SE and using Instant Scenery. I can get the object to appear in my scenery, but my problem is no texture, it's just "black". At first I had the texture folder under Building as shown below. Building folder >Scenery folder >Texture folder Then I copied the textures in the Steam > steamapps> Common> FSX> "texture folder". This didn't work ether. At this point, I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Don
StringBean Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Sketchup uses .jpeg textures, did you convert them to .DDS for use in FSX? peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
donn18 Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 Thanks for your reply, sorry I didn't get back to to sooner. I did convert them to DDS, but my problem was understanding the fact that you need to add objects into FSX Scenery Library just like regular scenery. Everything is working the way I want it to. Thanks again.
f16jockey_2 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 At first I had the texture folder under Building as shown below. Building folder >Scenery folder >Texture folder That's the correct setup IMO. I mostly use MCX Mass Texture Editor wizard for SketchUp Models (because it's complicated) and even for Gmax Models (out of laziness). http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy176/buffalo2602/ScreenShot_20151101212649_zpskbsphdsr.png If you set the "Texure folder" to the above folder, you should be all set when clicking "Update".
