Hello to all.

I have no AI airborne traffic in FSX. I have tried all the sliders but made no difference. There are stationary aircraft at airports. But no quaue of a/c waiting for take-off or already flying.

I have reinstalled the whole program 3 times. But still the same.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA.

Regards,

Al

2 folders:

Texture - full of bmp files

Scenery - about 30 bgl files

OK, but the one that puts AI traffic at the airports and controls their movements is the one to look for. It's probably there because you get AI parked at the airport. I just wonder if you are flying at the same times as their flight plans? While flying, have you done a right-click and scrolled to Traffic and seen any AI traffic listed?

Ok.. Sat at CDG in France, midday. Only 2 parked aircraft at the gates. Nothing else, let alone moving.

Right click brings up a list of 5 aircraft. Selecting each one in turn it says they are all 0.1 miles from me at approx 30k ft. But they cannot be seen whilst in the game. They are more than 0.1mls from me in a vertical line :))

Interesting! It's been a while since I used default as AI. I know that midday at most airports is not the best time. I have found the best time is around dusk near major airports for traffic spotting. With my many WOAI packages, it's like fireflies in the sky. My AI airline slider is at 55%.

go to a large airport, park, and wait. It takes a while for the traffic to start doing things. Wait at least 15 to 30 mins.

Do this at dusk, so you see aircraft in the distance better. They will have lights on.

Set the 'level of detail radius' to 'Large" in fsx-settings-display.

And again, do you have file: TrafficAircraft.bgl in folder:

...\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery

?

I have done what the last two posts asked and it has made no difference.

There are NO files in the location.

I flew around Heathrow at dusk. There were not even any parked aircraft.

Thanks.

This is a screenshot of my FSX/Scenery/World/Scenery folder. I have lots of WOAI traffic files, but the one that you need is highlighted with an arrow pointing at it. If you don't have this file, then no moving traffic for you. You may just be seeing Static AI at the airports.

Nope, not a single file in that directory. When I tried Heathrow a short while ago I didn't have a single static ac either.

I'll completely uninstall and reinstall again and see what happens. Although I have done this before.

I'll be back in awhile.
