liner simpilot
Short hoop from PHX to SNA, just another wing view with exceptional cloud effects from the passenger view point. Descending over Riverside County. Hope you'all enjoy. Kenny

liner simpilot
Thanks Peer & Larry, I am starting to like the new scheme, except I miss the SWA writing on the winglet. I wish they would somehow incorporate the same thing there.
MBKHOU
Being an artificial SWA buoy, I'm kinda mixed on the new paint. I guess I like it OK, but in some ways I still slightly prefer the old red belly planes. I fly them about 50/50 lately. Not sure what the real world mix is at this point in the repaint program, but there are still a good number of the old canyon blue planes. Maybe still more of those than the new livery, but not sure. I imagine the new livery numbers are increasing every month. And even some of the 300's have already been repainted. But not sure if any 500's will get it, as I hear the 500's are slowly being phased out. I know a few 500's are still flying though at this time. liner simpilot
I appreciate your response MBKHOU,I fly many liner types different Airlines but if I had to say which one I fly the most, I would have to go into my personal Flight Log in the last several years, I probably fly mostly SWA B737-700 as I use Flightaware link and attempt to fly the real World in aircraft type and destinations and they are the main airlines it seems. It's interesting reading your message on this as I never thought about that other then my personal feelings. It very colorful, when the Blue Canyon came out how did people feel about these colors as it was in Gold for so long. Not sure if they still exist out there anymore. Maybe as they transition to this new paint scheme it will grow on passengers & the Blue Canyon will fade away like the Gold did. They have had the Blue Canyon scheme for sometime now, maybe it is time to have a change to renew them just my thought. Kenny

I was an artificial SWA buoy when the brown planes were flying, and when the canyon blue planes came out, I didn't like them as well as the brown ones. But then I gradually adjusted to them, and eventually liked them better than the brown planes. There is still at least one 737-700 with the old brown paint. It's a special "classic" livery now, much like the "state" planes. One thing about the canyon blue planes that I came to like better than the brown ones are the paint divide lines on the sides. I like the slightly swooping lines on the canyon blue planes better than the mostly straight lines on the old brown livery. I forgot what they called the brown/gold color.. I think "desert sand" or sumtin like that if I remember right.. I'm real picky about the shade of blue on both the old and new blue planes, and tweak the paint on all the ones I run. The SWA 800 I run the most, I took pictures of at KHOU, and then made a FSX version to match. It was the sixth SWA 800. "N8306H". That plane now has the scimitar winglets, as do most of the 800's. I also fly the 700 the most, and also use the real world routes from flightaware.

liner simpilot
Thanks MBKHOU, Araripe & Omega for your very nice response. I have & always will appreciate them all. As for being shy as time goes by, I like doing these wing views as it makes me feel as though I wish I was there as a passenger in that seat. MBKHOU I found reading your response was very interesting on your info. I wasn't sure if any brown/gold was still out there, and the fact that you did not like the Blue Canyon at first but grew to like it, now we are in another new paint scheme generation for them. The Blue Canyon winglet has one nice feature is the "Southwest.Com" on the inside facing you, that the new one doesn't. If there are any other simmers out there that fly real or Flt sim on the new scheme or the Blue Canyon I would like to read your opinion just curious.
