Timberleaf
Is there a way to use the HUD independently of the 3D cockpit? Perhaps a Panel.cfg change, addition, etc? Timberleaf
After fiddling with the panel.cfg, I was able to find a solution that will work for me and my needs, as well as double my fps (from 15 in VC to 42 in 2D) in the process. Just thought I'd share what I found. Instead of using the 3D panel (VC-default F9) where I see fps suffer, I am using it in/as a 2D panel (default F10). In order for it to work, it has to be turned on in the VC as it is normally activated in VC, then flip back to 2D panel, and voila.
