mgh
Hello everyone! Does anyone know how to FS2004 run on Windows 10? You'd be better posting this in the FS2004 - not the FSX one.
W2DR
There are some problems, especially regarding DRM on Disc 4. Read this thread https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?292036-Windows-10-and-FS2004-Discussion/ and then Google the issue for more information. astroavion
I bought this POS Toshiba C55A laptop a couple years ago and installed FS9. It worked fairly well; no problems. Then I had to do the forced upgrade to 8.2 or whatever, and ever since, FS9 has ran like total crap. All of a sudden video card errors, etc. I've been through all of it, upgrading the display driver, installing FS9 in a folder outside the Program Files folder, etc. As time progressed, FS9 pretty much got to where it wasn't even working anymore. I upgraded to Windows 10 and tried it, and that was a huge mistake. Nothing worked at all. So today, I reverted back to Win 8, and now FS9.CFG is missing of course, because the sim won't even start at all. I tried different compatibility settings, running as admin, etc, and all I get is a quick flicker when I try to start FS9. So I think that all that is left for me to do is take this laptap into the street with a sledgehammer and beat the Living B. Jesus out of it, and buy a new computer at some year down the road. FSX has never worked worth a dang for me. The graphics look worse than FS9. How unfortunate that technology has reached the point where Microsoft could build a bad-ass flight sim, but instead, they close up their flight sim shop after me using it for 33 years. I think I'm gonna switch to X-Plane if that will even work. I'll have to blow the money first to find out that it won't. So damn frustrating. I wish everyone here would keep flooding Microsoft with emails begging them to build a new sim.

ScatterbrainKid
My FSX Gold ran fine on my old Win XP PC, and it runs fine on my newer PC with Win 7, and it also runs fine on my new Laptop with Win 8.1. I'm the biggest PC dummy around, so if FSX works for me, maybe I'm just lucky..:)
