A320 Battery isn't turning on enough systems to STARTUP!

Okay so I have recently downloaded the A318-19-20-21 Mega Family package from Rikooo

The aircraft once loaded into a airport starts at the gate with no engines running, and no power to the autopilot control panel and screens with the flight info (6 screens together, 2 on each side of the cockpit and 2 in the centre). The engines at this point can't start. Now this is the difficult part.

*The overhead panel is untouchable, apart from lights at the front. I can't switch the battery and APU systems on from there neither does Shift+5 work on those aircrafts to get the 2D overhead panel. Is there a way to fix that and get the overhead panel back on Shift+5?, all other aircraft get it but this one has it disabled.

Now that is not important since you can set a control for the main battery and APU, BUT! when I do switch the battery on,the only things that work are the screens in the centre and lights. None of the other screens and autopilot systems go online. Even so I try to switch on the ENGINES but they don't still turn on.

Anyone out there able to fix this and tell me how to startup the engines!!!!!

What does CTRL+E do for you?

FROM the RIKOOO download page:

IMPORTANT : The planes appear in mode Cold & Dark that is to say instruments and engines are OFF ! Read the comprehensive user manual in English from François Doré that is included to understand the starting procedure with Bleeds, thank you to avoid leaving comments like "how to start the engines ?" if you have not read the manual ...) However, the author still allows CTRL + E function to automatically start the engines with the mode Fly By Wire "NORMAL LAW"

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Olih,

I think that you speak about my old V3 panel. all my panels requires FSX+SP2 or acceleration pack or P3D because my XML code use the last SDK.

If overhead 2D dosen't work, I think that you haven't FXSX SP2; Download it

On that one you'll need APU + Air bleed for the magic to work not just Batteries, me think. Also, in FSX_xx time is constantly ticking for the batteries so if you're reading something or doing something else they will drain fast and you are left hanging. Now you have to reset the situation or re-select the same plane again.

Cheers,

PS: Good job Mr. Dore. Thanks.

I don't usually fly the heavy Iron, but maybe as soon as possible after you turn on the battries, do you start the APU up? I wager you NEED it running as soon as possible after you hit the batteries or they will drain off, as mentioned above. AND the APU's assosciated electrics, if they are separate from the APU start-up. So, Battery, APU, APU Electrics, in close order.

THEN try the panels, engines, etc.

Another possibility: Can you turn on some sort of external power, like from a start-cart or maybe a electrical cable from a stand in the ground? We had, in Yuma, where the planes were parked on the military side, low set units where there was a pair of power cables (one for an aircraft parked to each side of the unit), each one having an on/off switch, and an air hose used for starting the engine(s).

Just a couple ideas that popped into my poor skull. They hurt too...

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

That was actually the front page of the RIKOOO download. Plenty of good info from the download. I downloaded one of Mr. Dore's a-318 aircraft from the library with the same start up procedures. It was simple....turn on battery, start the APU and APU generator, turn on just about every switch on the right side of the upper panel, turn on the engine bleed switches, turn on engine start switch on the thrust lever console, and then each engine switch one at a time. After the engines are started turn off the APU . Not too tough!

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Mr Zippy that is my problem I can't start the bleed switches since my overhead panel isn't functioning, neither is the 2D version (SHIFT+5). As the person said before downloading that FXSX SP2. Thx to those to help though.

Olih,

Please, be clear in your comments.

Which version of FSX have you ?

Aircraft has been tested only on FSX+SP2 and P3D; I don't know if it works with FSX-SE

Do you can display the Overhead 2D ?

or

It's just a X-bleed selector or bleed switch that doesn't work ?

In all case, CTRL+E feature works; So, you cn start aircraft and all system with CTRL+E

Maybe Rikoooo has changed a file, because this is not me who have prepared the Rikoooo package.

You can find here, on flightsim library, some of my original aircraft.

- PA A318 V3 : https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=166641

- PA A321 V3 : https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=166266

Panel update v3.05 for A321 V3 : https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=166536

This is the original version.

But Panel V3 is an old cheap version.

I published 3 weeks ago, a new ehanced version which have many, many more features like real vertical navigation FMC controlled (first time in freeware ! ) and all real Airbus mode. THis new version, called FD-FMC, is 1000x better than the old V3 panel !

YOu can download here : https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=187472

If you want discover this new version before download, you can read the User manual here : http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Manuals/A320%20FD-FMC%201.00%20User%20Manual.pdf

Edit : Link fixed
