deanreid Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Hi, I'm not sure if this is just a bug but I'm currently trying to remove things from my SSD since its nearly full, and In my Apps & features it has SimConnect Client v10.0.61242.0 and its taking up 12.6 GB of space, is this the real size of the program or could this be a build up of logs (If so where are these files installed so I can clear them). Or am I able to just remove that version? I have about 3 different versions of SimConnect installed. I currently have: v10.0.61242.0 - 12.6 GB v10.0.61259.0 - 4.98 MB v10.0.62615.0 - 4.08 MB Thanks :)
CptCaveman Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 You should completely ignore the size allocation that windows shows in apps and features. Its total junk data and almost always wrong. The main reason it shows this size for simconnect is because its attached to FSX, so the menu shows it size plus the installation size of FSX. If you going to check data sizes, you absolutely must use explorer and check the softwares installation folder properties for an accurate size. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
