Speedbird ATC
Hello everyone, I recently installed SweetFx. However, I did not like it and tried to remove it. When I pressed remove on the sweetfx config, I got t See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Flight Simulator\SweetFX\dlls\FXAA DX9 dll\d3d9.dll'. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.File.InternalDelete(String path, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.File.Delete(String path) at WindowsFormsApplication1.gameEntry.removeRecursive(String source, String[] exceptions) at WindowsFormsApplication1.gameEntry.removeSweetFX() at WindowsFormsApplication1.Form1.remove_sweetfx_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.96.0 built by: NETFXREL2STAGE CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- SweetFX_config Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/SweetFX/SweetFX%20Configurator/SweetFX_config.exe ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.79.0 built by: NETFXREL2 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.79.0 built by: NETFXREL2 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.93.0 built by: NETFXREL2STAGE CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- INIFileParser Assembly Version: 1.7.1.0 Win32 Version: 1.7.1.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/SweetFX/SweetFX%20Configurator/INIFileParser.DLL ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.79.0 built by: NETFXREL2 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. Harald Haukland
hey. you need to put back this file into your main fsx folder: "d3d9.dll" its looking for that file, so you need to put it back, then try to start fsx again.. http://www.speedtest.net/result/4450194567.png Asus Z170-A-1151 - intel i7-6700K@4GHz - Asus ROG NVidia GTX 1050 TI Strix 4GB - 32GB HyperX DDR4@2400 MHz - Corsair CM750-750W - Corsair H80i v2 Watercooling
CptCaveman
This is a common problem with using sweetFX and other such Dx9 injectors. You have left a few files remaining in the main FSX folder, which is causing the crash. Please do not put the deleted files back as advised above. It will only complicate matters further. In your main FSX folder there will be sweetFX files it setup to inject its effects. You need to delete those and FSX will be fine again. I cant off the top of my head remember exactly what ones sweetFX places in this folder. IIRC there will be a config file, a D3D9 dll and something else I cant remember. If they are removed you should be good to go. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Rupert
Yes, that often works! Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
