Adding software to P3d V3

All the software I am trying to add to P3d I have already purchased in the past and worked in version 2.5. They are all designed to work with P3d. My question is now, they are all looking for the path of P3d V2. Does this make a difference or should I wait for upgrades to install.

You should wait to install.

L-M have substantially changed how they expect addons to be installed - even some of the rushed installer changes seem to have completely missed the point that the new compartmentalisation of P3D V3 for easy updating purposes means a significant change in the location and organisation of addons.

You will completely stuff up your installation if you don't wait - and I go further to suggest that you double check that even those that claim compatibility are not simply bodge jobs thrown down in haste.

There will be more to come on this, mark my words.

Amen. LM is asking that NO files be installed in the core (P3D) folder - that includes putting aircraft into the Simobjects folder. They MAY work but they may also have issues.

I am reading that several people are just copying their old folders to the new P3D3. REALLY not a good idea - unless you like the idea of uninstall reinstall dance.

I had a feeling that was the case, reflecting back on the history of v1 & v2. I will wait and just get the feel for the core of the program. Thank You for the responses.
