Installing Aircraft

I have found I can install an aircraft into the FSX program while it is open and running. Is that a good idea or should you close the program first?

They show up in the list. I just tried it to see. I try not to keep to many loaded since it slows down the load up time.

I've never had any issue with installing while I'm running; the ONLY thing that doesn't work: if you needed that aircraft to properly display other players in a multiplayer session the game will NOT change the substitution it originally made - you do have to restart for it to use the new AC for other players.

I found I can do this with FS9 as well. Eleven years and still learning. I love this game!! As well as everyone who takes the time to answer my threads no matter how small or lame, someone always answers my questions like Mr.zippy! Hats off to all!
