whirlwind
I recently deleted FS2004 in the process of cleaning my pc up, in between reinstalling I received a load of updates from Microsoft ,I normally have auto updates switched of. I have windows 7 64bit, FS2004 would not open, this is with Disc 4 inserted. As I normally have the no disc crack loaded I reloaded the crack and FS2004 Opened OK I had many small issues that needed sorting. I then did a check ride in a Cessna 172 as I accelerated down the runway I experienced I sudden elevator kick down I pulled the yoke back and continued to climb out after about 30 seconds the same thing happened I have checked this out with other aircraft same thing. I use a Saitek pro flight yoke ,I have recalibrated no change, FSX works 100% . I seems that these updates are associated with windows 10 which I do not have installed and don't want. Any clues why I am getting this elevator kick down?
tgibson_new
Try increasing the elevator null zone slightly? Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.com

RCChopper
If as Tom says increasing a slight null zone doesn't work, you may want to try deleting your fs9.cfg file and letting fs9 rebuild a new one on start up. That will reset all your settings though and you will have to reset axis, assignments etc but many times that can be where the problem lies. It's not that hard to do really. How far do you think it "kicks down"? All the way or partial. Is it just for a split second or does it want to stay down until you change input?
