f16jockey_2
Not very clear, are you talking AI Traffic ? If so, try changing the day-of-week. Maybe they have their day off :D. Wim
il88pp
If it's about a user plane, check if the panel folder is still called "panel" All liveries use it as panel folder, and if it was renamed they can't find it. Fsx conciders planes "without" panel as AI planes. They do not show up in the aircraft selection screen. Btw, if you want to hide a plane (or livery) from the selection screen, do not simply rename the panel folder. Instead, open the aircraft.cfg file, find the livery you want to knock out, and change the line: panel= to panel=*** That way the livery can't find the panel folder. So the livery won't show up. By hiding it that way, it does not crowd up the selection screen, but it is still available as AI aircraft. ----------- And other planes that also use that panel folder can still find it. (For example, many addon 737's use the default 737_800\panel folder, so you should not just rename that panel folder.) ----- (If you look in such an addons \panel folder, you will only find one file. A "panel.cfg" that contains the line: [Fltsim] Alias=..\..\B737_800\Panel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
svpst
Wow it gets stranger yet. i told you i flew this package for several days, without issue. i just looked at the folder and unlike yesterday, all it showed was textures. so i deleted it but i had to remove the whole link. i reinstalled the link. it worked. i tried to reinstall the jetblu mega pack and it destroyed the entire linked folder except for one folder called airplanes and it included the jetblu pack. it came with a self installer and apparently that installer doesn't like either fsx-se or sym links. i just delete the jetblu pack, redid the link and everything is fine. What do you think? why would it have worked 3 or 4 days? Brian W. I5-8400, EVGA GTX 1070.ti, 16 gigs ram, 500g Samsung SSD, 1.5 T HDD, 1 T HDD, Win 10, 64bit. mrzippy
It's even stranger that you haven't yet provided any detail as to the download you are using. Where can we find Jetblu mega pack? Is it this one? http://www.rikoooo.com/en/downloads/viewdownload/6/782 Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
il88pp
So you installed a plane? And then a texture pack? And you used an installer? Sounds like the installer overwrites the folder. Use the installe to install to a folder on the desktop. Then move into the aircraft's folder, directly on F: drive. I think f is where your stuff was, but I don't remember exactly. Many people ask about symlinks. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
svpst
it was just one download, with 16 jetblu airbus 320-232's. the original install went fine and worked well for a couple of days and then kablooey. the fsx-se is on c: the ssd and the folder is on f: hdd. no texture pack download. by the by, i downloaded it from rikooo.com is that a bad place? mrzippy
I'll try that download from RIKOOO and see what's up. Since it uses an installer, I will only install it to a folder I create. It is HIGHLY recommended NOT to use installers to put much of anything into your Sim. Some, like ORBX and other payware products require the installer to be used. il88pp
The thing with rikoo is that all planes come as installers. So you're not sure in advance what files they will install. And neither is your AV. Also a download of a 200mb file takes three hours. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mrzippy
Download completed....8 minutes! The download consisted of an Effects folder with about 6 effects files and a SimObjects/Airplanes/JetBlue Mega Pack v2 folder with the aircraft and the different liveries. The panel is a fully developed one with no aliases. I'll try a couple of test flights tomorrow to see if everything sticks around. My only splaination is that you may have boogered something after you made your flights! ;) Been there, done it may times to myself! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! il88pp
Good to hear the download speed has improved. Still prefer zips though, wish they'd change that too. Ah well, plenty to do already...:) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
svpst
oooooh crap, now that i thing about i did do something. because the file contained 16 aircraft i was going to mute several of them by using the panel=0 thing that oopa taught me. then i realized each of the planes has a different name so i went back and removed the 0. but then i realized the last 3 or 4 planes of the "[fltsim.x] series were repeats. they were numbered 1-12 and the last 4 were 11,14, 13,12. so i renumbered those four planes and maybe by doing that it 'boogered" something as zippy said. zippy check the last {fltsim} numbers and see if you have repeats please. mrzippy
zippy check the last {fltsim} numbers and see if you have repeats please. Yes, after [Fltsim.14] there are 3 [Fltsim.12] So there are repeats! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
