FSX and sp1

Just received new computers with I-7 processors, 16mg ram, 2tb hd, GTX970 video and Windows 8.1. We are running 3 27" monitors at 7860x1440 resolution. Installed FSX basic and all works fine except..... 2d panels have to be resized to fit the center monitor and then the aircraft saved in a situation which I was aware of. The 3d panels are way too big also but knew about this problem and just zoom way out which makes the panels usable.

When I installed FSX SP1, the 2d panels will not show up and I get the flickering mouse!! Is there something I need to change in the settings to correct the problem SP1 creates or just run FSX without SP1????

Thanks

Rich

Yes I meant FSX standard edition. Will SP2 fix the problem created by SP1? Also would it make any difference if I placed FSX in programs 86 or just put it into C/:?

Thanks

Where you place FSX should not matter. If you are concerned about editing things inside of FSX, then you should have FSX outside of Programs 86. FSX Standard Edition should have SP1 and SP2 installed, not just SP1.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️
