VH-WDT Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Looking for a radar to use in general with any aircraft, can anyone place a link please ?
gallen144 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I'm not where I can give you a link for this now, but Captain Sim offers a weather radar that may be installed in the planes of your choice. It comes with an app that allows you to pick the planes and deals with the panel.cfg updates. I've used it for several years and works fine. You will be able to find it on the Captain Sim website.
PhantomTweak Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Presuming this link act works properly: ARS4 on AVSIM I like it, it's a great radar you can add to any plane. It isn't a wx radar, though, since to my knowledge all of those are payware... Flattermann Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Do you now the German software Flusifix? http://WWW.wolfgang-picheta.de On the side "Wolli's Homepage" there is the download "FlusiFix-2006". Opening the FlusiFix-2006 V5.0 you find Panel.cfg and Point 08 "Radar nachrüsten" Be careful, there is no English translation available. It is all free! happy landings! ScatterbrainKid Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Looking for a radar to use in general with any aircraft, can anyone place a link please ? As this is your first post I'm assuming you're new to FSX. If so, it depends exactly what you mean by radar and what you want to see on it. For example just hitting the Map key will bring up a map showing where your plane is, a bit like a "radar".
il88pp Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Top of page. Click file library--advanced search. Search for radar. You will find a few. Some look real good, traffic radar with tcas (traffic collision avoidance system) but I think those don't work in fsx. They are older. I think I tried them all. One that does work great is file "gauge.zip", easy to install. No tcas, and says 'for fs2004' (=fs9) but works in fsx as well. Enjoy! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
il88pp Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Actually, if you do a search, look for: radar gauge (not just radar) And maybe select to search the fs2004 gauges section only. That narrows it down a bit. Otherwise you will find many complete planes instead. (with radar somewhere in the description.) Not what you want. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
llivaudais Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Let's not forget that we have a traffic radar in the Tower that can be adapted for use in any aircraft and there's a 'radar' view of air traffic that's part of the TrafficToolBox that comes with the SDK. There's also some interesting radars that come with various F-111's that might be worth checking out.
