Ejmas
Hi! I use Bkueprint Sinulations KEWR Newark and have modified the scenery á little. I checked everything; gates, parkings, taxiways etc. but akk my planes refuse to taxi to gate; they land and moments later: pop they just disappear. I am sure there is nothing wrong with my AFCAD, so I don't understand what is wrong. Can anyone help? If so, grateful. hjwalter
Hans AI aircraft which disappear immediately after landing is caused by the non-availability of a parking position or by available parking positions which are too small for the AI aircraft concerned. Either increase the number of Afcad parking positions or increase the parking radius of some of them, preferably both. Good luck. Another Hans from behind the dikes in the Netherlands. PhantomTweak
I think, although scenery is FAR from something I am overly familiar with, that I read that if the taxiways aren't connected properly to one another, the parking places, or the runways, this problem will also occur. I have NO idea what "Properly Connected" means when it comes to AFCAD's, it just happened to jump into my skull, and I wanted to get it down before it jumped back out again from boredom and loneliness... Pat☺ (Never even been anywhere near Sweden :D ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! Sgt, USMC, 10 years proud service, Inactive reserve now :D
rainerk
"Properly Connected" means the parking place must be connected to a parking connector, this must be connected to a taxi way, and the taxi way must be connected (probably via other taxi ways) to the runway. The connection must be via a node (not only "visibly"). All AFD editors let you check this. Just watch for "open links" or "isolated segments" in the fault finder tools. EDIT: You can if you want to omit the taxi way links and work only with parking connectors. This will change the visible appearance of the design, but not the function.
