I have a folder under FSX named Flights. It is D:\TEMP\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\flights on my computer. They go in there and show up nicely. There is also a folder in C:\Users\Pat\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files with .FSsav, .pln and .WX files, along with my logbook.

Does that answer your question?

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

FSX "expects" to find saved flights in the \documents\Flight Simulator X files as mentioned. The flight plans will default to that location if you create them with FSX but they can go anywhere. If you make numerous flightplans of many different sorts, it even makes sense to create a variety of folders so that they can be grouped by type...
