wwhiteside
Guys, I am having an issue with the throttle in the A2A J-3 Cub. I am pretty sure that I have a previous profile saved somewhere that is inhibiting me from getting full range of motion on the throttle. All other aircraft are working fine. I reinstalled FSX and it seems that there is some previous file or I did something wrong here. Can I SYNC the throttle position in FSUIPC4? I have clicked that button and no change. I also deleted the Cub profile in the FSUIPC INI file. Somehow I am stuck in a two or four engine mode on FSUIPC as I cant just calibrate on page one of control calibration with a single throttle. I can only see moving digits when I calculate using multi throttle on page 3 with my Thrustmaster Warthog. Help! :)
av8tor98
Do you think that deleting the FSUIPC.ini file may help? It should rebuild a new one. I'm not 100% sure this would help. wwhiteside
Well I did think that yes. How do you get FSUIPC back on a single throttle mode?
mjrhealth
Simple. Make sure that is isnt configured in fsx first, Ire make sure that in teh fsx profile all the Throttle links are deleted. Now in fsuipc, load the plane. go to the joystick configuration and move the throttle it should show what is attached to it. Just untick the ones you dont want. Its that easy. paulthorn
I had a problem with setting up a trim control in FSUIPC. No mater what I did it would not forget the previous setting. I just went to FSX/Modules, and moved FSUIPC files to another holding file on computer. Then started FSX up and shut it down without FSUIPC. Then moved files back into FSX/Modules and problem was solved. Worth a try anyway.
wwhiteside
I like that! Do you move ALL FSUIPC.INI files ?
napamule2
You first have to go FSX Controls menu and DISABLE your controllers. Then do the FSUIPC set up. Otherwise you will definitely have a 'conflict' which will prevent FSUIPC 'taking over' your controller and thus can't do the calibration/set up. napamule2
If you really want to 'do it right' you would buy the registered version of FSUIPC as the free version is limited. Or rather, the paid version has TONS of possibilities and will take a week to cover all that it can do. To get you started here is a very good video which explains how to use the paid version in FSX (specifically for controllers, etc). . It is 10 minutes long. BUT, go to 'gear' Icon (lower right) and choose 480 p. That way you can read the text plus YouTube videos work better at that res (less pauses, etc-HINT-ie: videos watched at 360 do NOT profit, and in fact will be the videos with pauses, etc-remember you heard it here first, from:) Chuck B Napamule i7 2600K @ 3.4 Ghz (Turbo-Boost to 3.877 Ghz), Asus P8H67 Pro, Super Talent 8 Gb DDR3/1333 Dual Channel, XFX Radeon R7-360B 2Gb DDR5, Corsair 650 W PSU, Dell 23 in (2048x1152), Windows7 Pro 64 bit, MS Sidewinder Precision 2 Joy, Logitech K-360 wireless KB & Mouse, Targus PAUK10U USB Keypad for Throttle (F1 to F4)/Spoiler/Tailhook/Wing Fold/Pitch Trim/Parking Brake/Snap to 2D Panel/View Change. ricardo_NY1
As others have said, make sure that FSX is not handling the axis. What you should really do is make sure you have the correct joystickcontroller selected in the FSX menu. Particularly if you have multiple devices attached. Go to your axis assignments and delete any that you see present. In FSUIPC, scan your axis and see what they are actually assigned to. You definitely don't want a single axis mapped to several things, etc. Ricardo FSThrottle.com
napamule2
Quote: 'cheapskate...I own it'. No, it's just that the Free version is one TOOL, and the Paid version is a much 'better', and completely 'different' (even if 'similar') TOOL. That's all I was implying. Did you watch the video? It's mind boggling what the reg ver of FSUIPC can do. Amazing, too. I don't need it as I only have a twist grip joystick (Sidewinder). But if I had a joystick, pedals, a yoke, and a throttle controller I would most definitely buy it. The beauty is that you can map each and every 'controller' button/lever/switch independently. Just move whatever lever/button/slider/switch on whatever controller you are 'talking' about and FSUIPC will 'recognize' it and offer calibration for it. And if you want, you can have different PROFILES for each and every 'type' of aircraft out there.
