MIKEKENNY
I have a number of planes that I can't get ATC communication unless I have the engines started. APU is running and there is instrument power. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change to get this working without engine power?
mrzippy
Turn on the battery! If there is no working switch in the cockpit, you can program a keyboard button to turn on battery power. It never hurts to mention exactly which planes you have a problem with. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
il88pp
I start using the APU by pressing keyboard combinations. You need to press two key-combo's to -use- the APU. "APU (Start)" ---------------------------------- I use + and "APU/Generator (Toggle)" -------------------- I use + Once those are pressed, I can switch off the battery and still use ATC. (By "those are pressed" I mean: APU is started and power source is switched from generator to APU.) Only switching on the APU is not enough, it will still drain the battery. (If the battery is left on.) il88pp [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
