javelin46 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Is there a way to reduce the size of the virtual cockpit view (F9) key.
mrzippy Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Could you give a more detailed description of what you mean by reducing the size of the virtual cockpit? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
mgh Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Is there a way to reduce the size of the virtual cockpit view (F9) key. By filing it down?
ScatterbrainKid Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Sliding your eyepoint back should do the trick..:) VIRTUAL COCKPIT EYEPOINT MOVEMENT (Hold keys down to slide your eyeballs) SHIFT Enter= Up SHIFT Backspace=Down SHIFT CTRL Enter= RIGHT SHIFT CTRL Backspace= LEFT CTRL Backspace= Forward CTRL Enter= Back Hold CTRL and hit SPACE= Reset Some Cessna 172 eyepoint sliding examples- http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-eyepoint1_zpsmqamutj3.jpg~original http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-eyepoint2_zpsffzoxuzl.jpg~original http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/sub2/FSX-eyepoint3_zpszw3jg2bu.jpg~original And you can also slide your eyeballs sideways to see what's in front of you- http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/ExIS/cpitE.jpg http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/ExIS/cpitF.jpg PS- you can also use the zoom keys (- and =) in conjunction with eyepoints to customize the view exactly how you want it.
javelin46 Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Forgive me I meant the 2-D cockpit view (F10) I would like to make it smaller for all my aircraft. It seems so large
ScatterbrainKid Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Try the zoom keys (- and =) And also see if raising the seat improves the view over the nose. 2D COCKPIT SEAT RAISE CTRL Q= Up CTRL SHIFT Q= Down For example here's a DC-3 with seat down (top pic) and up (bottom pic)- http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/CMSF/FSX-2D1.gif http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g64/PoorOldSpike/CMSF/FSX-2D.gif
il88pp Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 grab the edge of the panel and drag it to resize. If you do this with the main panel you may see the lower half of the screen (behind the panel) as black. With the sky still blue. To fix that, go to: Options--Settings-- Display, in the 'airsraft tab' set 'Panel Transparency' to something higher then zero. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
