mrzippy
Just a minor coinkydink, someone over at AVSIM is asking about that radio stack to see if anyone has tried it yet and can recommend it. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

Have you tried the FSD Radios and are having some issues, or like me are looking for some general input on it? I couldn't find any recent reviews. Thx, Al
StringBean
Yeah, I bought it on sale for 8 bucks. I would like to do some more test flights before I go into too many details, yet right now I would say that if you want this addon for the AP, you should take a pass. Unless you are happy to use it like the default AP, which is a simplified version of the real thing. If that is the case, then go for it. There are some really nice features in the other units. I will go into more detail after some further testing. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. StringBean
I spent some more time with it this morning and will probably not be able to spend any more time with it for a few days. Because of that I came back to post that I simply cannot get the AP to respond the way it is supposed to. You have the option of having it behave like the default AP and that seems to work OK though I only spent a few minutes in that mode. I really wanted the AP to work like the real one so I am a little disappointed in my purchase though I will not lose any sleep over 8 bucks. The other units seem to work pretty good and they do offer functions that are missing in the default radios. So caveat emptor on this one. I would love to have someone tell me they have it working as that would indicate a possible issue with my install. I will not hold my breath for that. As for support from FSD, I will send them an e-mail, I believe they are out of business even though someone has my 8 bucks. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do?
