FrankPilot
Come with me to my home airfield IRL, YTYA Tyabb, Melbourne, Australia, well depicted in MSFS with freeware, and see if you like the Jacobson Flare method of landing as much as I do. Hope you enjoy. Cheers. Frank’s Airfields in MSFS: https://youtube.com/channel/UCqCzobOlQLeGycCFnavVrPg
PhrogPhlyer
Nicely done, but as to the Jacobson approach, call me a sceptic. Perhaps it is the idea of charging a fee for a "technique." Pilots have been passing on their techniques to other pilots for free to share experience and experiences. The one aspect of his method that I agree with wholeheartedly. and works in situations he admits his won't (changing glide path, rapidly varying winds, etc.) is "stabilized approach." Establish your approach speed and nose angle (pitch), adjust rate/angle of decent with power, all the way to the flare. Maybe it's just my preference, but this has never failed me no matter what I was flying, the size or markings of the runway, or the weather. I did appreciate the clear explanations throughout your video. Looking forward to the next one. 1 Always Aviate, then Navigate, then Communicate.
