Macroburst
Hey Phrog, "May we never lose the sense of pure wonder that is flying". Too true. Enjoyed your interpretation of that comment through your choice of aircraft & flight altitude. Cheers
PhrogPhlyer
Thanks Macro. Truly enjoyable to just take off and fly wherever you heart leads you. So much nature to enjoy out there. Rupert
"Truly enjoyable to just take off and fly wherever you heart leads you. So much nature to enjoy out there." So true! Happily my time with the sticks was over before all the congestion and over regulation that now seems to abound in the US! A friend of mine, who has had a fixed wing license for years, recently got a letter from the FAA for landing on his own property and onto his own airstrip during a chopper demo flight! They said the flight was "too low" while crossing over a nearby interstate highway while on final. A trucker wrote down and submitted their number. Now when the wind is from the South, he's afraid to fly his Cessna from his own strip for fear he'll get a ticket for a too low approach to land at the end of his flight! Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
