nsproles
I find that this happens if I have set a previous cruising phase altitude for a waypoint too high or low making it not feasible for the FMS to provide an altitude compatible with the glideslope/glidepath. In other words, I am asking the computer to try and work with parameters outside acceptable limits. I correct it by going back through the flight plan and amending the altitudes. As an aside, VNV now works in the default TBM. While the procedure used in the video above can still be used, VNV now makes much of what shown unnecessary.
