PhrogPhlyer
Absolutely a great pic Bill! Glad someone took the time to look outside and gaze at that wonderful sky. And also over a lot of other places as well. For example many areas in the US had large "dark blocks" where navigation radio aides such as TACAN didn't cover. We often triangulated "Clear Channel" AM radio stations at night out of cities like Chicago, Louisville, LA, and New Orleans. Also many larger aircraft even had portholes in their cabin roofs so navigators could take sightings while in flight. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow. Followed it all the way to NJ, and had some good tunes to listen to at the same time. Always Aviate, then Navigate, then Communicate. And never be low on Fuel, Altitude, Airspeed, or Ideas. Rupert
That sounds about right. I used to love flying my buddies V-35 Bonanza. But that's a whole different world than flying a Phrog. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
