efpg0708
Hello ! I've been having some problems with crashing into invisible terrain/objects in SBRJ's 20L/R. I've tried everything and couldn't solve it. So my last resort is to turn off the crash detection. However, when I do this, instead of crashing, FSX throws you back on the air or sends you to the ground. Does FSpassangers has any resource that can avoid this "reaction" that FSX has ? Thanks Eduardo
flyerBoy
FSX crash detection should NEVER been turned on, as you can "crash" into invisible objects. Leave it off at all times.
efpg0708
Hi. That is the problem .. when I leave it off, instead of crashing into an invisible object, FSX throws the plane to the ground when I am about 50 ft from touchdown. When taking off, it throws the plane 2500 ft into the air ...
evm
Sounds like a terrain/elevation problem. A collision with an object wouldn't shoot the plane up like this, only a ground level crash does this AFAIK. You could try to put a flattening polygon onto the airport or the runway using ADE. Or, if you have it, the FS Global mesh software has a tool for flattening areodromes (AFM).
