Grover2005 Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Hi: My faithful old monitor is on life support, so I guess it's time for a replacement! I am curious about curved monitors. Has anyone here had experience with them and, if so, what are your thoughts on using them for MSFS? Thanks for the advice! Steve in Kansas 7 Miles NW of KGCK
plainsman Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 I am running this one, and I have been very pleased. https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Monitor/G27QC-A/sp#sp I5-14600K, RTX-4070ti Super, Gigabyte Aorus Elite X AX Z-790 MB, 32gb DDR5 6000 CL30, Corsair 5000 case, WD Black 2tb M.2, Kingston 512GB SSD, BeQuiet 850W Titanium PSU
CRJ_simpilot Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Running a 27" Samsung right now myself and it's fine. I don't think it's as curved as some are though. I've read a curved monitor can be an issue with CAD programs and stuff like that. OOM errors? Read this. johnost Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I am running an LG Ultrawide 34" 3440x1440 and I love it. It is slightly curved - which is nice - but I really must admit that a straight panel would work just as well and save you some dough. Be aware that the 4-8k line counts on wide screens affect your graphic card needs substantially.
