Throttle going to idle while attempting takeoff

Recommended Posts

Apparently this is a known bug, just saw the discussion on the forums.flightsim.com

I was flying my C172 Cessna and my Just Flight PA-28, I would put the throttle all the way, I would roll down the runway and it would then bring the throttle back down to idle, while now slowly going down the runway. The only way to take off was to manually hold the throttle with my mouse until I actually took.

It was suggested that I set my assistive takeoff to OFF (which I did). Tested it out and it works like it should.

I make sure to turn off all Assists. I made a list of my settings so after each update I check and make sure that if anything has changed, I make sure to change it back where it was before. I think this is a good logical thing to do. That way you don't get any unexpected surprises.

I had this problem too, on my first flight after the recent 40th Anniversary mandatory update. I couldn't even hold the throttle at full, like David could. The plane just rolled to a stop.

So I restarted the flight, and the problem did not recur.

Go figure.

Man, oh man...you have MADE my day! I was experienced EXACTLY the same thing, except only with the SSW F-104/TF-104. As soon as I lifted off the ground the throttle would retard to idle, and the flaps would go up-- all on their own...NOT something you want to do in an F/TF-104! After going into assistance options and making the suggested changes, everything works like a dream!

Thanks again...
