Question about the Bonanza G36 Improvement Project

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Is anyone currently using the G36 Improvement Project mod?

This mod seemingly creates a seperate aircraft in your hanger; does this mean that you can't use this aircraft on the bushtrips that use the G36? Presumably, the bush trip merely uses the default aircraft.

Do I understand it correctly? That would be unfortunate, because it would be great to use the mod on the bushtrip flights.

Thanks all!

It's fairly easy to edit the bushtrip .FLT file so that it uses any aircraft of your choice:

Navigate to the Official > OneStore folder and scroll down to the 10 asobo-bushtrip folders, the first one is asobo-bushtrip-alaska. Let's say you want to edit this bush trip:

Open asobo-bushtrip-alaska > Missions > Asobo > BushTrips > Alaska and then open the Alaska.FLT file with Notepad.

Scroll down to the [sim.0] section and the first entry, which is:

Sim=Asobo XCub

This tells the bush trip to use the default XCub. You can change this to the title in your preferred aircraft.cfg [FLTSIM.0] section, in this case:

title = "Bonanza G36 Improvement Project" ; Variation name

So simply change:

Sim=Asobo XCub

To:

Sim=Bonanza G36 Improvement Project

And away you go.

I have been wanting to change aircraft for bush trips as well, so thank you too for that advice.
