Jive1
Am still very satisfied with MSFS2020. Recently, however, I had a little accident that makes it urgent for me to try to correct it. When I wanted to look for something in Explorer, I probably unintentionally changed the location of a file or folder. I slipped my cursor, probably moved a folder and it ended up in the wrong place. That was on 11-8-2022. And indeed,,, from that little incident onwards, the startup of the Simulator happens very slowly. In the initial procedure, that part where it says "start game..." at the bottom right of the screen is off the hook because of the incident, and takes several minutes where before it was done in a few seconds. In the meantime I have continued to fly, new software has been installed, that is running fine, the simulator I mean, but the time it takes to start the game before the simulator actually starts, is getting longer and longer. Can anyone help me and advise what I can do to fix this error. Jive1 - Belgium
JSkorna
See if you have a Windows Restore Point saved right before that date. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png
Jive1
I cannot find any restore point, so I will have to reinstall the simulator. Unfortunately, I removed the program without any precautions, and now I am lost in reinstalling the program. What should I do first now? I have the original DVD's. Jive1 - Belgium Start with disk one, and insert the others when the prompt comes up. Once the program is up and running, go into the Content manager and install ALL of the world updates etc., and any patches the sim will indicate that you need, Windows 10 Pro, 32 gigs DDR4 RAM, Nvidia GForce RTX 3070, Intel I7 10700 running at 3.8, with Noctua NH-L9x65, Premium Low-Profile CPU Cooler-HP Reverb G2 for Virtual Reality
Jive1
Sorry, that does not work. Somewhere I have read that there is a registration code in MSFS2020 and when one does a reinstall, this code plays a role! It should be removed and reinstalled from and in ones pc. Since I deleted the whole folder where MSFS2020 was installed, without reckoning with this code, there was no other means than reinstall from the DVD's.... And , I've tried several times, that does not work! Jive1 - Belgium
