mirl98
Hi, I have searched for an answer but haven't really found one! I just want to delete or remove the default FS2004 airlines, not the General Aviation. I know you can delete both but I want to keep GA planes. Is there any way to do this? World of AI does not delete or replace default airlines, they are still there. Help!
rainerk
No simple way available. You can de-compile the default traffic file and in the three source files identify the airplanes you don't want. Then you could delete those airplanes from the aircraft file and in the flightplan file the corresponding flightplans. It's a somewhat tedious process. Most prefer to delete/rename the default traffic file and replace it with other traffic files. There are GA traffic files available, also WOAI traffic files for GA. Wing_Z
There's a GA traffic pack in the library here. So just rename the stock trafiic file from .bgl to .bak or whatever, and insert this one: FS2004 (ACOF) - FS2004 AI Flight PlansFS2004 AI Flight Plans - World GA Traffic [ Download | View ] Name: worldga.zip Size: 50,376,559 Date: 07-23-2004 Downloads: 4,
ColR1948
Look for traffic030528.bgl and it can be found in the fs9/scenery/world/scenery folder, then either save it to somewhere else or rename it. Some ai packages with do it for you and/or install your own.
delyboy2
I just replaced 'stock' aircraft textures with new ones from library then just changed their reg and call name.
Wing_Z
Well, the OP has not come back filled with joy at all the help offered here. Perhaps it wasn't clear enough: In the folder fs9/scenery/world/scenery find the file traffic030528.bgl Rename it to traffic030528.bak In the flightsim.com library search for and install the file worldga.zip according to the instructions. OK? Report back if this works (or not) for you!
delyboy2
'worldga.zip' uses the stock a/c, he will still have "Orbit Airlines" et al flying around, he will either have to edit the aircraft cig file or like I said, simply change the stock a/c textures
copperpen
Probably a better solution is to use gatrfic2.zip which does not have the default airliners.
Avechelice
Hello, Probably a better solution is to use gatrfic2.zip which does not have the default airliners. Sorry but this is a crap :) The Aircraft030528.txt file have problems Bad format reported by ttool202 when trying compile ! http://i.imgur.com/P9pM6F8.jpg Regards.http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/a/bye.gif If you gave a couple of monkeys a box of ballpoints, enough paper, and enough time, they'd eventually finish up writing the complete works of Shakespeare :)
StringBean
'worldga.zip' uses the stock a/c, he will still have "Orbit Airlines" et al flying around, he will either have to edit the aircraft cig file or like I said, simply change the stock a/c textures No he will not. That file contains no commercial traffic and is GA only. It was designed for and is a perfect compliment to having a bunch of World of AI traffic. Yes, if you look at the aircraft text file you will see the Orbits and the World Airways listed. However there are no flightplans for those planes. I have no experience with the other file however I have used John's worldga.zip for years in FS9 and have never seen one of the default airliners. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Sorry again .. but using the worldga .. I still have some default airliners showing as AI !! That's the reason I tried the other mod .. but not avail (error described above !) StringBean
Sorry again .. but using the worldga .. I still have some default airliners showing as AI Did you disable the default traffic file? If so then you have another traffic file somewhere calling the default planes because there is no flightplans for the default airliners in worldga.zip. If you do not believe me, look at the flightplan file your self. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots.
