If you want to learn how everything really works, skip this post ;).

I'm well aware I'm not "teaching to fish".

In the model folder, edit model.cfg. Add last line.

[models]
normal=t38
interior=..\..\Boeing_T45C\model\t45c2

In the panel folder, rename panel.cfg to panel.ori (for backup purpose).

Create a new panel.cfg

[fltsim]
alias=Boeing_T45C/panel

In all texture.xxx folders (except texture.common) edit texture.cfg (or change one and copy/paste).

Add last line.

[fltsim]
fallback.1=..\Texture.common
fallback.2=..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\Texture
fallback.3=..\..\..\..\Texture
fallback.4=..\..\Boeing_T45C\texture

In aircraft.cfg, change (may need some tuning)

[Views]
eyepoint=11.000000,0.000000,1.700000

Done,

Wim

P.S. this method also shows how to compose and upload a perfectly "legal" VC merge without having to include "copyrighted" MS models and/or textures.

Is there a way to put the IRIS Tiger Shark vc into it instead of the T-45C because the Tiger shark has a cockpit closer to the T-38?

Thanks,

Brilliantly clear and concise. I printed this out so I can find it later, even though I don't need the info at this red-hot moment in time. This should be stickied in a "how-to" section somewhere.

Thank you for this!
