epopchock
Since yesterday, I have been having graphics issues when using the Thomas Ruth A330 aircraft. When I change from window mode to full screen (or vice versa) my graphics look like this This happens at LAX with this aircraft. I have also tested this aircraft and a Hawaiian A330 at Seattle Airport, and the same thing happens. I tried the HIGHMEMFIX=1 solution from a different forum, but that has not corrected my problem. I was trying to do a flight from Los Angeles to Fiji when this happened, and I have no idea what could be wrong. I'm open to any advice or solutions you can give me. Here's a copy of my fsx config and my system specs, if you need that: [bufferPools] PoolSize=10000000 [sOUND] AmbientUIMusicVolume=-6.000000 SOUND=1 SOUND_QUALITY=2 SOUND_LOD=0 UISound=1 AmbientUI=0 mrzippy
Does it only happen when using the 2 aircraft you mentioned? TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=512 should be Texture_Max_Load=1024 Edited April 23, 2022 by mrzippy Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=512 should be Texture_Max_Load=1024 As far as I know, yes, it's only with the Thomas Ruth A330-200/300 Edited April 23, 2022 by epopchock
epopchock
@Mr Zippy: Just wanted to add that I tried your suggestion and this is what happened after I had flight simulator running for a few minutes:
il88pp
set your grapgics settings lower. use the menu. or better. close fsx. rename the fsx.cfg file to fsx_old.cfg (so there is no file named fsx.cfg any more) start fsx. you have a office pc. not a gaming beast. dont use very high settings. make sure your nvidia driver is installed and updated. UPHILL3
Don't know if you have problems with other aircraft and/or scenery, but it your CPU, graphics card, and GB's of RAM may just be getting by running FSX?

I should underline the following 2 points: 1. I have the latest version of the NVIDIA driver installed. 2. The screenshot showing my system specs refer to my desktop computer, not the one I am typing on now. I'll try your suggestions and see if that works
epopchock
Update: I have tried one of il88pp's suggestions (lowering the graphics settings) and this aircraft now displays correctly without blurring my graphics. However, I only tested this at Whitehorse Airport in the Yukon, but upon testing it at LAX, I have discovered that the exterior of the aircraft still doesn't show up. I'm hesitant to delete fsx.cfg because I don't know what that will do. Edited April 25, 2022 by epopchock
gt401964
Some of your settings are terrible. Try these I have always ran at unlimited frame rate. jorgen.s.andersen
To calculate the AffinityMask correctly, use this calculator: https://www.gfsg.co.uk/affinitymask.aspx?SubMenuItem=utilties And, to allow the CPU time enough to build the picture correctly and completely, limit the frame rate to 30. FSX and other flight simulators are not frame-rate chasing first-person shooter games, but simulators where smoothness is important. il88pp
Closing fsx renaming the fsx.cfg file and then restarting fsx. Means fsx will start without fsx.cfg file present. Fsx will then create a fresh fsx.cfg file while starting. with default settings. currently your settings are to high and the pc can't load the textures quicklu enough. (or the settings are just messed up.) (Don't worry about renaming the fsx.cfg file. You still have renamed file as a backup.:)) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
