gps / garmin working guides

Recommended Posts

Amongst many items i need to get to grips within FSX my main direction presently is getting to grips with the gps / garmins use on many of the payware aircraft.

I mainly use the carenado range, C208b HD EX, Phenom 50/100 and the maibu mirage. Apart from plotting a single wayoint and accessing the available data, nearest vor's, airports ndb's etc Im not too familiar at all with selecting approaches, activating approaches and the various other modes in the gps / Garmins utilisation.

Can someone point me perhaps to some vids , perhaps on you tube that they may know which will show me the ropes and guide me step by step?

regards

Try Googling FSX GPS GUIDE (doesn't have to be caps, just easier for me than quotes :) ).

I did that yesterday, on another search, but it worked fpr what you want. I saw several YouTube videos about how the GPS works and how to use it in the flight sims.

Hope this helps a little bit :)

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

I can't help you on the other planes, only for the Carenado Mirage. But many other Carenado planes use the GNS430, so maybe this may help:

The enclosed manuals with the Malibu Mirage do show you what each feature is on the 430, but that's about it.

These links below might help you better, basically a tutorial for the GNS430, step by step. I found it here:

The actual video itself:

HTH, good luck.
