Siatek Flight yoke-sticky feeling

Recommended Posts

Just curious to know if anyone has taken their Saitek flight yoke apart and cleaned it. Mine seems to stick somewhat when I pull the yoke out. I'm a techie and have no worries ripping this thing apart, just more curious to know if its just the nature of the yoke or does it need to be cleaned.

Thanks :D

Clean rubbing surfaces with alchohol using Q-tips. Let dry, then rub rubbing surfaces with anti-static dryer strips. Do NOT use any oil. The strips have sufficient oil to lubricate, yet does not effect the palstic parts and will not thicken, or clump, and repels dust. Oil will gather dust and clump, thus causing sticking, then wear when you work the yoke. My 2 cents worth.
