kevinfolsom
I have the same problem with my Oculus Rift S Headset. Search the forums at flightsimulator.com and you should find a possible fix. Something about updating to the latest VR Headset driver from Oculus and going into program files for an Oculus setting to enable. I have not done this yet due to time not permitting it (even though I'm retired-imagine that!). I will try it tomorrow to see if it works but you should check it out. kevinfolsom
Ok, I tried this fix and going into the program files and turning FOV Stencil off did the trick. No more black stencils!!! Just follow the instructions below and let us know if it worked. Oculus Headsets When seeing black stencils in your Oculus view: Update to the latest Beta version of the Oculus software, this should solve the issue. If that doesn’t work: 1-Go to the Oculus Debug tool (Default folder should be C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics) 2-Open the Oculus Debug Tool 3-Turn the option “Use FOV Stencil†to Off 4-Disable/enable VR in MSFS Edited January 8, 2021 by kevinfolsom MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Plus Motherboard, I9-10900K 5.1 Ghz, 64 GB 3200 DDR4 Ram, Nvidia RTX 4080 16GB V-Ram, 1 TB NVMe M.2 Drive For Windows 11, 2 TB NVMe M.2 Drive For MSFS, 850W P/S, HP Reverb G2 VR Headset, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Unit, Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals.
