Saw this very informative short YouTube vid on the simple process.

 

You guys probably already well knew this, but it was news to me so I'm sharing the info.

No good if you have different joystick assignment profiles for each aircraft though, like me unfortunately.

 

Hopefully Asobo will give us automatic profile selection when you change aircraft at some stage.

You can also change your location this way, without going back to the main menu

While you’re in developer mode.. instead of clicking the aircraft selector.. click “teleport window”

You can then enter an airport’s ICAO code, or even coordinates.

You then have to wait a few seconds for the scenery to load (it’ll be blank at first)

These were all functions standard in FSX without resorting to a hidden menu.

 

Gotta ask why?

Who knows? It is a completely different sim though.

 

Changing while in developer mode isn’t difficult though, in fact I think it is quicker than it was in FSX. Certainly when I used to switch airports in FSX I would have to wait a minute or two for it to load (although I do have a much faster system now)
