dehman137
Hey everyone- So I have recently added the dc-8-63F from fs9 to fsx. The plane flies just fine and the 2d panel works great, however the skin I am using is a freighter and whenever it turns night cabin lights turn on. I have had this happen before with a 747 freighter in the past but I was able to go into the nightmap texture in the texture folder for the plane to modify it. For the DC-8 however, there is no nightmap texture in the texture folder. Could someone tell me where fs9 planes get their nightmap files from? Thanks. dEHmAN137
f16jockey_2
...the dc-8-63F... In FS, there is no such thing as THE DC-8-63F. Which download please ? Not HJG I think, as their night lightmaps are correct IMO. For the DC-8 however, there is no nightmap texture in the texture folder. Could someone tell me where fs9 planes get their nightmap files from?Same as FSX, even less than FSX as no fallback folders can be defined. The pax windows can be hard coded in the model though. That's why a download link would come in handy. Wim

StringBean
Could someone tell me where fs9 planes get their nightmap files from? Only 2 places. The texture folder for the current livery or ...\FS9\Texture. Check the second, though it will probably be a generic pax model lightmap. If so, then put a copy in the cargo liveries texture folder and edit it. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. Ive checked in the livery folder and found nothing. Could the model have the base fsx folder set as its livery folder?
dehman137
Nevermind i found them, the bitmaps were all completely white, no window textures appeared on them so that caused me to miss them. Very sneaky fs9!! Anyway thanks for your help anyway everyone! :D dEHmAN137
f16jockey_2
Did a quick install of the model with the 1st available livery on that page. As I said already, nothing wrong with the HJG night lightmaps. http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy176/buffalo2602/2015-2-23_20-52-40-307_zps299aaae2.jpg Wim

Sorry about that.
