Can We Change the Rate?

Recommended Posts

You need to go into your keyboard bindings, find the sim rate, unfilter everything. Then you should see sim rate increase and sim rate decrease. You then need to assign a key combo, like R + (I use the numbers plus sign), for sim rate increase, then for sim rate decrease, assign a key combo like R - (I use the number minus sign).

Once that is done, F11 (to save it) and that should do it.

Thanks David,

But now I see that "Sim Rate" is linked to the R key. Just like in P3D. But the R key does nothing. I did NOT see anything mapped to "sim rate increase" or "sim rate decrease," as you suggest.

I assigned a key to sim rate and use keys assigned to plus and minus to adjust it.

I find it difficult to use sim rate because there is no on-screen display of the current rate, and I lose track of key presses. Old age has apparently affected my ability to count because I can never seem to return to a rate of 1. I submitted a bug report requesting the sim rate display.
