Camerafunction: Get rid of it!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

What a terrible mess is the camera-function, unbelievable complex, hard to understand.

Why did the developers go away from the simple, but effective FSX/P3D way of inside- and outside-views, to be steered by the HAT-switch. Every position was selectable.

Can we as community ask for a return of this way of camera-work?

I don't see how this camera is such an issue tbh, I mean it did take me a bit to learn it get use to it but now it's np. Guess everyone has different ideas. I could see it being an issue if someone jumps from one flight sim to another but for anyone that is new to flight sims they should have np

Is that YOUR problem? The Hat Switch?

It works perfectly.

I press the END key and pan with the Hat Switch

And you know what? Its the ONLY button you need.

"END" button. The rest is all with Hat, need to zoom in or out use the mouse wheel or the - and =

The thing is the Camera Menu inside MsFS have dozens pf other configurations, slew, drone,

that is what confuses most. Forget about all that, dont ever open the Camera settings.

Just use the END button.

Unless you are a video pro maker to sell your stuff you dont need any other cameras.

But you need to confirm: is HAT your problem? If it is its a settings problem you have in the joystick and there are many threads in this forum explaining how to configure. Every two days someone post a thread saying the sim is a disgrace because they cant use the HAT

The camera options are simply brilliant ! So flexible. There's something for every. Once u do a little reading and learn how to assign or reassign camera function to buttons on your controller or keyboard you'll love it. But u have to do the reading. Once u get it you'll appreciate how great and flexible it is.

If you are having problems with the Hat switch you can re-task it to fit your needs, or add a X-Box controller to your sim and it will give you three hat switch and view commands with ease of use.

This beautifully-made video illustrates well what has become, for me, the worst defect of FS2020 -- the unrealistic color palette. Especially the distant shots, which show a bleak, white-hot vista not at all like the real Grand Canyon. I can't believe the geniuses at MS can't easily tune this down about 2 f/stops of exposure.
