SAM Hunter
This Flight Simulator needs more than ever external instruments like Saitek FIP's or Multi Panels. Sadly none work! And I cannot seem to get them to read or map out. The Yokes work, but the more advanced instruments are a "no go". I am afraid to report that, the Saitek/Logitech Pro Flight Switch Panel, Autopilot, Radios, and FIP's do not work. Then the wonky camera views makes it difficult to keep a level flight and to monitor airspeed and basic control of your aircraft. Even with a large screen monitor (42") the instruments are hard to read and your flying all over the place. I purchased and registered a copy of "SPAD NEXT" drivers it still will not read those Saitek/Logitech items mentioned above So I am parking this simulation for a little while, to wait for the compatibility issues to be worked out. I do not want to be fighting with a controller every time I want to fly! I do not want to be guessing my altitude, airspeed or vertical speed with these camera views. If you are having the same issues as me, or know of a resolution to the problems posted on the Saitek/Logitech Controllers, mention or post them. Respectfully: David... Basecapt2032
I am using powered USB hubs, downloaded drivers from Logitech and SPAD. Nothing doing. Real shame. I guess it will be sorted but for now I stuck. I emailed SPAD. If I get anything back I will post the response on here. Likewise re Go Flight auto pilot panel and ACE yoke. The only things that works well is the Thrustmaster kit Joystick, throttles and pendulum rudder. If any one has any ideas/solutions please post. Thanks. Safe flying! sfojimbo
The wonky camera views can be brought under control by using an xbox controller to control camera position and direction of view for internal, external and especially the drone. There are several posts about that here including suggested control assignments. Until Asobo let's us use a second monitor for the display of the panels, I usually fly in external view and everything I need is onscreen. I don't use USB hubs they sound like trouble to me, my computer now has 19 usb ports thanks to cards like this: https://www.amazon.com/LTERIVER-Superspeed-PCs-Biuld-Technology-No-PCE-U3P4-SPC/dp/B07SRT4PLL/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=usb+card&qid=1612121226&sr=8-9 i7-10700K, ASUS Prime Z490-P motherboard, 32 gig, GTX 1080 Ti, 1TB M2 drive, Thrustmaster T16000M, Logitech Rudder Pedals , xbox controller. g7rta
“I am afraid to report that, the Saitek/Logitech Pro Flight Switch Panel, Autopilot, Radios, and FIP's do not work†- incorrect. I have three FIPs & the multipanel. They do work with MSFS and you no longer need SPADnext either. There have been drivers on the Logitech site for quite a while now..
