iainso
Hi Everyone, I've booked 90 minutes in a real 737 simulator (static alas, but full-motion was way too expensive for me). Can anyone comment on how it's likely to compare to flying the 737 in FSX? I want to get the best I can out of these 90 minutes, so if there is a better FSX 737 add-on out there, I'd like to practice with it first. rfresh737
The real sim won't feel like FSX so focus on the flying procedures themselves; meaning, know when to put out the flaps, gear, etc. on your approach and landing. Know the steps on TO for when to start flap retraction, etc. Things will happen *very* fast and the 90 mins will be up long before you realize it. Fly with the flight director on. Use all the aids that you can. Good luck and have fun!! I have about 500 hours flying in a level D full flight sim but it wasn't the 737NG, it was the MD-90/B-717. iainso
thanks, I'll start practicing the procedures as in the rod machado lessons. I'm also wondering what to do in the simulator. I could just do touch and go circuits, or final approaches in various weather conditions, or maybe a short hop like Edinburgh to Glasgow or Rome to Naples like the missions in FSX.
