MagikarpDrowned
Hello Flightsim community, Magikarp here with a few quick questions. What are the best freeware weather/graphics/texture/lighting addons for FSX? Are the Uk2000 sceneries updated to work with FSX steam, and are they supposed to add custom buildings? What are the best freeware sceneries out currently? (I have SunSkyJet KPHL) Sorry for the weird questions, and thank you in advance for answering them. boomtisqwerty
Hi Magikarp. I am a former FSX user but now use FS9. I have got a few ideas that you might like: -What are the best freeware weather/graphics/texture/lighting addons for FSX? Well I have heard good things about REX. They are payware but you might want to give them a shot if you want the best. As for freeware, if I were you I would just experiment with different search results you get and go for the one which you find the best but freeware choices might be for someone else to answer as I haven't tried many. Make sure you have a backup of your default folders though! -Are the Uk2000 sceneries updated to work with FSX steam, and are they supposed to add custom buildings? http://www.uk2000scenery.org/forum/index.php?topic=7991.0 This might help you -What are the best freeware sceneries out currently? (I have SunSkyJet KPHL) ORBX Sceneries full stop for GA airfields. As for the larger airports, here are a few: http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/9026/fsx-john-f-kennedy-airport-scenery/ http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/8822/fsx-kai-tak-airport-scenery/ http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/8649/fsx-princess-juliana-international-airport-scenery/ Hope this helped in some way. Thanks, RyanB EDIT: Just to add to Cavalierjan's post below, watch these video's: ANOTHER EDIT:rolleyes:: The best freeware aircraft that I can think of are Tim 'Piglet' Conrads fleet. He has the most amazing aircraft that could easily match payware stuff. Most of them are GA but I think you will like them.
cavalierjan19
these addons improve your FS. Great ones!!! Planes, well Project Tupolev tu-154, Manfred Jahns Basler Bt-67, Just flight c152 and 757, Simshed Nimrod , ifly 747-400, Section f8 f-86 dino cattenos f-14, f-35 and t-45, Alphasims Eurofighter Typhoon, Rob Richardsons edgley optica, posky 777, skyspirit B747-8, Project Airbus 380. Surely the best freebie aircraft! Out of sceneries try Tiberius Kowalskis sceneries! Payware quality exotic sceneries. Kind of like the freebie Pacsim. Another great one is Commonwealth of dominica by Valladier jean louis(koupi) and Zev C. Richards. Blue Sky Sceneries have got good photosceneries. http://furanuku77.blogspot.com/ He makes nice work on photosceneries too. Check out LHsimulation for great hungarian airports. http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=179219 this one is quality, too. And take a look at Drzewiecki Designs airport scenery demos, really good.
