Just a couple of minor details that need to replied here .... "only in order to keep the record straight/honest" :)

The CARAVELLE simulations aren't HJG's. They're actually AFG's and which HJG was authorized to host .... and to further modify (in FDE terms) "beyond their original AFG releases, so, people are asked (even on HJG website) to acknowledge the correct authors .... "AFG" for the basic simulations; "Benoit GAURANT" for the panels/gauges: and both "Benoit PLAMONDON & Marck CRANSTON" for the sound packs ;)

Also ....

These CARAVELLE simulations are "FS2004 native" .... as are their supporting panels and sound packs too. HJG has never been cleared, by the original authors of each, to market these simulations as FSX portable, so, it doesn't for that very reason. Although it's understood these basic simulations, and their supporting panels, may function in FSX, HJG can't guarantee they'll work flawlessly within that FS platform (there's often a huge difference between what people think/say is FSX portable and what HJG proclaims to be so and with confidence) .... HOWEVER .... HJG can confirm that each of the customized CARAVELLE sound packs, it offers, are for "FS2004 use only" and "ARE NOT" FSX portable. This audio will work in FSX though, but, not with optiimum/the intended playback quality.

As stated at the start .... this's all intended to just set the records straight/ensure the right authors and host are acknowledged ;)

Beautiful set of shots Jan. I find the retro liveries so much nicer than the new ones, or is it just me?

Well done.

Hope you won't dish that wonderful French plane into the ocean!

Unlike Christopher COLOMBUS' three CARAVELS .... I don't think these much later "CARAVELLE's" would make very good boats despite the fact that AIR LIBAN, ALITALIA, AVIACO, CHINA AIRLINES, COTAM, SATA, and THAI "did" each end up doing so :(

Aerofoto: Sorry Mark, I had no idea! But you're absolutely right, All credits must go to the right persons, so thanks for your comment and I hope it's clear now! :) Edited by peer01

Sorry Mark, I had no idea! But you're absolutely right,

No problem "PEER01" .... it's just a small, but all the same very important, detail I felt needed to be clarified .... simply because I don't want to see HJG taking full credit for something it's not entirely responsible for creating :)

We had a situation during April of this year where through "innocent miscommunication and misunderstanding/s" a current HJG offering was "incorrectly (and just as innocently) credited" to the wrong person .... I publicly acknowledge that I was given "the wrong information" to start with at that time :(

That situation caused "a real scene" in some corners of the FS world .... with a number unfair accusations and statements being leveled at HJG whom have always otherwise done things "quite honestly".

Mistakes can, and do, sometimes happen, but, it's a situation HJG don't ever want to see, let alone experience, again .... for its own sake .... in as much as for the sake of others involved with FS freeware creations too .... hence the desire to correct details accordingly here ;)

Just thought I'd further explain :)

Na my mening is dit die vliegtuie ... en moenie die DC-10 ook vergeet nie ;)

"PEER01" .... if your FS interest are extending into HJG hosted classic civil jets, then, it may interest you to know that HJG is currently ugrading it's B707/720 FDE's as per the following forum report ....

http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/9327/tweaking-120-family-members

This's the very first FDE upgrade the HJG B707's have ever had .... since they were first released

It's also a project HJG started earlier this year (2019), but which, due to unanticipated R/W personal commitments this year (which saw me relocated overseas for some months) had to be "shelved" .... until during these past couple of weeks .... and during which time work has recomenced, and which will be further reported within this same above-linked forum thread during coming weeks .... all proceding well.

This's all in addition t other work going on in the background too but which I won't/can't comment in regard to at this stage.

It'll be a little while before they're released (we/"the HJG tech and physics team" generally like to go over all details with a fine tooth comb .... although some/any remaining performance discrepancies usually have to be tolerated due to certain limitations within FS itself, but, that's the way it/FS "is"). What's been re-developed so far though, in regard to these B707 FDE upgrades, is by virtue of our test observations so far (supported hopefully by what's evidenced within the above link) looking and performing in a very promising manner. As I said .... it'll be "a little while" before these upgrades become publicly available .... given there's a lot of aircraft subjects to go through (and the fact each one is "different" and is customized to perform slightly "differently" too) .... and which can only be done in accordance wih personal time available and within which to be able to do so of course.
