BryanButler
Hello fellow flight simmers. I have two questions: 1. What are some good head sets for FSX out there? (brands?) 2. What does the "Ti" stand for/mean on graphics cards for example the GeForce GTX 780 Ti
mrzippy
1. Try a Google search for headphones. Were you looking for a microphone also? 2. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/356941-33-what-means-video-cards-example-670ti Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! chrisjfinlay
I use a Logitech USB headset that I "borrowed" from my office (we all get given one for our phones but my role involves almost no phone time, so hey! It also works on my ps3, which is nice) and it's very clear. I think it's the H350. As for "Ti". It's the chemical symbol for "Titanium" and is used as a marketing gimmick, really. Unfortunately it tells you nothing, because there's been a few instances of nVidia releasing a "Ti" branded card, then an updated version of that card without the branding that outperforms the Ti branded one. When choosing a graphics card, your best bet is to look at what AMD and nVidia are offering in your budget, and then look for benchmarks and competitive reviews. Lots of sites have reviews where they pit comparable cards from each manufacturer against each other in similar circumstances. Also bear in mind that FSX is heavier on the CPU than it is on the graphics card, so getting an all-singing, all-dancing card may not make a huge amount of improvement for this game. il88pp
I use a wireless headset too. The Logitech ClearChat PC Wireless. I've been using it for 3 to 4 years. Recently I checked for similar ones and saw the -Logitech H800 - and the -Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Rage V2 - . One of those would be my choice. Just plug in the Usb dongle and go. Both are suitable for PC. Wireless is fantastic! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
